Multidisciplinary Center for Surgical Education (CMEC) is located in the premises of the Geneva University Medical Center (CMU) of the Faculty of Medicine.

The goals of the Centre are to promote and provide education in surgical techniques, both basic and advanced.
CMEC includes several surgical disciplines and is open not only to the variousDepartments and Services University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) for internal training, but also organizes regular courses for surgeons from the outside.

CMEC is also the training center officially approved by the Association Suisse Romande in laparoscopic surgery (ASRCC).
Basic courses are conducted on the organs of pigs and advanced courses on human cadavers.
